Fundraisers’ Network for Development (FuND Philippines), Inc. will be holding a two-day seminar-workshop on Social Entrepreneurship entitled Unlocking the Code of Social Entrepreneurship to interested aspiring entrepreneurs and non-government organization professionals (NGO) based in Mindanao on May 29 and 30, 2012 at Mindanao Training Resource Center, Davao Medical School Compound, Bajada, Davao City.
Mr. Ferdinand Alversado, faculty of Export Management of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde and Vice President of the Association of Marketing Educators of the Philippines, will share his knowledge, skills and experience on Social Entrepreneurship, Principles of Marketing, Business Planning and Product Development.
Ms. Kriz Crusado of Coffee for Peace will talk about their experience in running a social enterprise. Coffee for Peace is a business-for-profit, addressing social issues that concern farmers, environment, and the peace situation by advocating Fair Trade in the coffee industry. They have trained 17 indigenous tribes in fair trade coffee farming and more than 450 families have benefitted from the fair trade price they are paying for the coffee they produced. Coffee for Peace is now becoming one of the must visit coffee shops in Davao City.
FuND Philippines is a non-profit membership organization of development professionals coming from different NGOs, peoples organizations and academe dedicated to professionalize the fundraising work here in the Philippines.
