PRESIDENT Benigno S. Aquino III has declared July 23, which falls on a Monday, as a special (non-working) day in Gingoog City, a chartered city in the province of Misamis Oriental, in celebration of its 52nd Charter Day.
The Chief Executive issued the declaration through Proclamation No. 398 signed by Executive Secretary Paquito N. Ochoa Jr. on June 6 to give the people of Gingoog City the full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.
In June 1960, Gingoog became a chartered city by virtue of Republic Act No. 2668.
