CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Brig. Gen. Ricardo R. Visaya is the new commander of the Philippine Army 4th Infantry Division based in Camp Evangelista, Cagayan de Oro City.

Visaya filled his new post on Wednesday morning during formal assumption of command ceremonies presided by Philippine Army commanding general Lt. Gen. Noel A. Coballes who arrived at the camp by helicopter.

The arrival honors for Coballes included Eastern Mindanao Command commander Lt. Gen. Ricardo R. Cruz.

Coballes awarded the command plaque to Visaya before the reading of the designation orders and the assumption order which Visaya signed afterwards.

This was followed by the hand-over of the command symbol.

The event was attended by guests from the city government and the province of Misamis Oriental represented by Provincial Board member Bebeng Dumadag.
