70th Shinyo Maru Commemoration’s Unveiling of the Marker

The Municipality of Sindangan, in partnership with the Department of Tourism – Region IX and the Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Government, held the 70th Shinyo Maru commemoration’s unveiling of the marker last September 7, 2014 at Barangay R.G. Macias, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte.

Antique towns implement ‘Timbangan nga Bayan’

SAN JOSE, Antique – Project ‘Timbangan ng Bayan’ goes full swing in Antique as the local officials have signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Trade and Industry on the installation of two (2) weighing scales in every public market of the town.

LABANGAN, Zamboanga del Sur – Tabak commander BGen. Gerardo Barrientos Jr. on Saturday lauded the Tabak Defense Press Corps (TDPC) for its valuable contributions to the Philippine Army’s premiere division.

Barrientos, the guest of honor and speaker of the 2nd Tabak Defense Press Corps (TDPC) sports fest held at the Tabak Gym in Camp Major Cesar Sang-an, Barangay Pulacan here said the TDPC made significant contributions to the 1st Infantry Division by promoting the division’s peace and security efforts. PSA 10 on the move for 25th National Statistics Month Celebration

ARMM communities venture into organic food business

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur – The Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) will be assisting a number of farming communities venture into halal and organic food business as part of its livelihood support to more than 100 underserved communities in the region.

The project, which is being handled by the ARMM Health, Education, Livelihood, Peace and Synergy (HELPS) program, will be piloted in barangay Balas in Lamitan City. AFP to secure Pope Francis during visit

MANILA – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) will place in two battalions to augment the security during the visit of Pope Francis in the Philippines on January 15-19, 2014.

Camp Burgos, Oroquieta City – On Friday, September 26, 2014 the island of Mindanao joins the Guiness World Record to challenge India’s World Record of 1.9 M Trees planted within an hour of planting.

Mr. Ollie Dagala of Mindanao Development Authority came to Misamis Occidental to propose that the province will join Mindanao’s Campaign to gather 4.6 M Trees with the 6 Regions of Mindanao participating in accepting the challenge to break the record of the Guiness World Record thru dubbed as the TREEVOLUTION 2014.
