CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela – The scheduled arrival anew of Vice President Jejomar Binay was cancelled due to heavy rains and light winds that punctuated Isabela’s morning on Friday.
Ico Cepeda, Binay’s media relations officer, said the Cebu Pacific flight which should arrive at the Cauayan Domestic Airport in Cauayan City was cancelled due to the typhoon which was hoisted over Isabela.
As a result, Binay’s scheduled arrival at the 5th Infantry Division to award benefits and other assistance to slain and wounded soldiers in the recent encounters in Abra and other provinces was cancelled.
Binay was smeared in his Isabela and Cagayan visits after his aides have distributed shirts with markings “Kay Binay Gaganda and Buhay” and “Tatak Binay Serbisyong Tunay”.
He has been a subject of a Senate Blue Ribbon probe on the alleged overpriced Makati building.(PNA)
