QUEZON CITY – The Philippine National Police (PNP) gives some safety tips in using your card in Automated Teller Machine (ATM).

MANILA –The Department of Labor & Employment-National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) recently awarded livelihood grants to 113 workers and dependents of victims of the fire disaster that razed Kentex Manufacturing Corporation in Valenzuela City.

Atty. Alex Avila, DOLE-NCR regional director led the awarding of livelihood grants at the Barangay Hall of Brgy. Ugong, Valenzuela City along with DOLE CAMANAVA Field Office Director Andrea Cabansag, Barangay Captain Eduardo Nazar of Barangay Ugong, and Helen Abulencia of the Social Security System. CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City— Undetermined number of New People’s Army harassed the Patrol Base in Brgy Hindangon, an outskirt barangay of Gingoog City and murdered three Militiamen at around 8pm last night, July 19, 2015 after they’ve requested for ten (10) days Suspension of Military Operation five days ago for them to release the soldier they kidnapped when they attacked the people in Brgy Alagatan, Gingoog City last July 11, 2015.

P2-M illegal drugs seized in 2 operations in Bacolod City

BACOLOD CITY — Government anti-narcotics operatives seized about P2 million worth of illegal drugs in two separate operations here in less than 24 hours.

On Wednesday morning, agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) confiscated 20 sachets of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) inside the store of cellular phone technician Amiro Tantua, 27, on Mabini Street, Barangay 40. DILG-3 awards BUB checks to Zambales town

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) regional office has awarded checks worth some Php3.05 million to a local government unit in Zambales, which shall be utilized for the projects proposed under the Bottom-Up-Budgeting (BUB) approach.

DILG regional director Florida Dijan said recipient was the municipality of Sta. Cruz in Zambales with the BUB checks amounting to Php 1,920,000 and Php 1,131,600 to be used for the drainage system and rehabilitation of the sea wall along Sta. Cruz Public Market, respectively. ILOILO CITY -– Both Iloilo City Rep. Jerry P. Trenas and Iloilo second district Rep. Arcadio Gorriceta said that the administration of President Benigno Aquino III is leaving behind good governance as its best legacy for the Filipino people.

Trenas said that there had been no unprecedented economic growth experienced ever before until the Aquino administration. “Before, the economic growth was like a roller coaster that goes up and down, but with the Aquino administration it continued to go up,” the Iloilo City solon said in an interview Wednesday. Wall of Art: Mural painting against child labor

MAMBAJAO, CAMIGUIN – In commemoration of Mambajao’s 160th founding anniversary on 6 July 2015, the Department of Labor and Employment – region 10 (DOLE-10), in a joint initiative with the Local Government Unit (LGU) hosted a mural painting competition where hue of colors blended to raise awareness on child labor.

Twenty students from four high schools in the municipality painted murals now standing proudly in the walls of the old wharf parola where tourists, bystanders and the people of locality will be reminded in taking stand against unjust and inhuman labor conditions experienced by children and youth everywhere, with the featured advocacy, “In a Dream of a Child.” Read more about Wall of Art: Mural painting against child labor
