Crime incidents in Q2 down in Nueva Vizcaya
BAYOMBONG, NUEVA VIZCAYA – Crime incidents in this province have gone down in the second quarter of this year, officials of the Philippine National Police (PNP) here said.
Police Senior Supt. John Luglug, officer-in-charge of the police provincial office, said the first quarter registered a total of 641 crime incidents, which is lower by 555 incidents or 46.40 percent compared to the 1,196 incidents for the same period last year.
He said their anti-criminality efforts will be made more responsive through the new approach on Anti-Criminality Action Program (ACAP).
The PATROL 101, he said will be implemented to maximize police visibility on the ground and decentralize the formulation and implementation of strategies to support patrol, investigation and public safety operations in the province.
“This new program of the PNP will reintroduce patrolling as an indispensable policing activity that requires serious attention,” Luglug said.
He added that they are currently strengthening their visibility and investigation efforts in areas where a series of crime incidents happened such as in the towns of Bagabag, Villaverde and Bambang. (PNA)
