DOH-CHD Caraga launches Knowledge Center for Health

BUTUAN CITY – The Department of Health-Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD 13) highlighted its 18th year anniversary, Friday, with the launching of the Knowledge Center for Health or E-Library.
Situated at the ground floor of the CHD Caraga Building, the E-Library can be accessed by the general public for DOH publications, health statistics, hospital manuals, public health program information, health policies, health news clippings and advisories, WHO publications, online medical references and other health information resources.
Initiated itself by DOH-CHD Caraga, the facility was established pursuant to the Kalusugang Pangkalahatan thrust of the government towards providing the people with the much needed health information, and helping them make informed decisions, in terms of appropriate health care and services for individual health situation that require immediate response.
The ceremony was officiated by Health Undersecretary Nemesio T. Gako, with Regional Director Ariel I. Valencia and the rest of the CHD Management Committee. Partners from different agencies, the academe and the media also graced the event.
In his message, Director Valencia emphasized that the E-Library is part of the continuing effort of DOH-CHD Caraga to deliver better service to the public.
He also expressed gratitude to all partners for “consistently supporting our health programs and activities through the years, as we look forward to a more strengthened relationship amongst stakeholders.” (DNG/asf)
