DSWD gives capital for senior citizens of CamSur town
LEGAZPI CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office V recently released a check P1 million to the local government of Calabanga, Camarines Sur.
The amount is capital assistance to be invested in the opening of a drug store, a livelihood project of the Senior Citizens Municipal Federation of Calabanga.
The project of the local government unit’s (LGU) senior citizens was funded under the Bottoms-Up Budgeting program of the government.
The check was received by Mayor Eduardo Severo from Director Honorita Bayudan of the Poverty Reduction Programs Bureau of the DSWD Central Office.
Severo said the LGU will provide a stall for the project at the town’s public market. (PNA)
