Photo 03With the aim of providing ease in transporting agricultural produce from remote farm areas to the nearest market, the Department of Agriculture through the High Value Crops Development Program (DA-HVCDP) and the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech) inaugurated the 2,211-meter Agricultural Tramline System (ATS) connecting barangays Luna and Malagana in Claveria, Misamis Oriental. Engr. Roxana H. Hojas (from left), DA-10 Regional Technical Director for Operations together with PhilMech Director Raul R. Paz, PhilMech Mindanao Cluster Head Edgar B. Testa, Claveria Mayor Redentor N. Salvaleon and Vice Mayor Meraluna S. Abrogar led the inauguration of the P6.1M bi-cable tramline system which is the fourth ATS established in Region 10 and is now considered as the longest in the country. (Vanessa Mae S.
